SUMMARY:5th Annual King of the Mountain Trail Hill Climb
DESCRIPTION:Starting at SnoFlex\, The  King of the Mountain 2 mile challenge is a trail run that will challenge the mountain goat in all of us. Mile one is a quad buster down hill for approximately 1 mile and then….goes straight up the side of Liberty Mountain to our mountain top finish! The view is amazing! This event is presented by Liberty University Student Activities.

SUMMARY:Sci Fest Pi Run (Randolph College)
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a 3.14 mile fun run/walk and pie for all! Free and open to the public. March 14 is Pi Day! Pi Day represents the first three digits of Pi and is Einstein’s birthday. \nWe will start at Randolph College’s Main Hall (front campus) at 6:00 pm sharp. The first 150 registered get a free t-shirt and all finishers get a piece of pi(e)! \nThe course is GPS measured and runs from Main Hall\, front campus\, heads left on Rivermont Avenue\, stay on sidewalk left to Norfolk Avenue\, and then left again to the Randolph College track\, does a U-Turn and heads back up past front campus and along Rivermont all the way to VES Road. Turn around at the stop sign at the top of VES. Trace your way back to front campus\, and finish in front of Main Hall. This is a funrun and traffic will not be stopped. You must stay on sidewalks the whole way and give way to traffic at intersections. We will ask you to sign a waiver when you arrive\, and this will entitle you to your free t-shirt and the opportunity to win door prizes!

SUMMARY:Lighten-Up Lynchburg 5k Run/Walk
DESCRIPTION:Lighten-Up Lynchburg is a timed 5K Run/Walk to encourage activity and increase awareness about the obesity epidemic. This race is hosted by the Lynchburg Mayor’s Youth Council\, and a portion of the money earned will go towards raising obesity awareness. \nThe 5K will take place at Peaks View Park–a very flat course\, so predict fast times! Please park at either the Ardmore or Tenbury Drive entrance. \nPacket Pickup will take place at Riverside Runners on Friday\, March 22\, 2019 from 12-6pm\, and Saturday\, March 23\, 2019 from 9-9:30am at Peaksview Park. Registration will be available during these times as well. The race will begin at 9:30 am. \nAwards will be given to the top three male and female finishers\, as well as the top two finishers\, male and female\, for each of the following age groups: 12 & Under\, 13-18\, 19-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60 & Up. \nT-shirts are guaranteed to everyone who registers by February 8\, 2019.
