SUMMARY:Memorial Day 10K & 2 Mile Walk
DESCRIPTION:For the past 5 years\, Lynchburg Road Runners Club and Type 1 Diabetes Experience (T1DE) have hosted this race to provide support for local families living with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes. It has become a great community and family event. The proceeds from this race have helped with education on diabetes management\, nutrition education and cooking demos\, community support groups and even camps for children with Type 1 Diabetes. The Memorial Day 10K is the 2nd race in the 2021 Lynchburg Road Runners Race Series. \nOur event will follow COVID best practices for road races.\nWave Starts\nSocial Distancing\nMasks required of participants\nBottled water for hydration

SUMMARY:National Trails Day 5k Run & Walk
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate National Trails Day by participating in a 5K race on High Bridge Trail State Park sponsored by Centra Southside Community Hospital. The park is a rail to trail conversion and is a wide\, level surface with virtually no grade. Course travels over the world famous High Bridge.  Event is limited to 200 participants.
