SUMMARY:26th Annual LRRC Summer Track Series
DESCRIPTION:“Fun for Everyone” at the Lynchburg Road Runners Summer Track Series. You don’t have to be a Lynchburg Road Runners member to participate. A variety of running events are offered each Monday in June at Lynchburg College’s outdoor track (1501 Lakeside Drive\, Lynchburg\, VA 24501).  \n All ages and all abilities are invited. With the exception of the 1 mile and 2 mile events\, all races are in meters. Cost for participants is just a dollar. This is a family friendly event and Lynchburg running tradition with dozens of participants each evening. \nJUNE 6 (Tuesday): Age Groups 100 m (6:30 – 6:55pm); Open 100m (7:00pm); Predict Your Time Mile (7:10); 5\,000m (7:30 – 8:00pm) \nJUNE 13 (Tuesday): 1500m (6:30 pm-7:00 pm); Open 200m (7:10pm); Age Groups 200m (7:15-7:45pm); 800 m (7:45-8:00 pm) \nJUNE 19 (Tuesday): 2 Mile (6:30 pm-7:15 pm); Open 100m (7:15); Age Groups 100 m (7:20-7:45 pm); 400 m (7:45-8:00 pm) \nJUNE 27 (Tuesday) 1 Mile (6:30 pm-7:00 pm); Open 200m (7:00); Age Groups 200 m (7:10-7:45 pm); 800 m (7:45-8:00 pm)

SUMMARY:15th Annual Percival's Island 5-Miler
DESCRIPTION:Race #5 of the Lynchburg Road Runners Race Series. Lynchburg is known as the “Hill City”….but this course is flat\, flat\, flat.  The start finish is located at the Blackwater Creek Natural Area Percival’s Island in downtown Lynchburg and the course follows the Blackwater Creek Bikeway…a paved rails to trails path along the James River. A bit longer than a 5k but without the effort of a 10k\, 5 miles is considered by many the perfect distance.
