SUMMARY:14th Annual Percival's Island 5-Miler
DESCRIPTION:Race #5 of the Lynchburg Road Runners Race Series. Lynchburg is known as the “Hill City”….but this course is flat\, flat\, flat.  The start finish is located at the Blackwater Creek Natural Area Percival’s Island in downtown Lynchburg and the course follows the Blackwater Creek Bikeway…a paved rails to trails path along the James River. A bit longer than a 5k but without the effort of a 10k\, 5 miles is considered by many the perfect distance. Registration opens March 1st.

DESCRIPTION:“Fun for Everyone” at the Lynchburg Road Runners Summer Track Series. You don’t have to be a Lynchburg Road Runners member to participate. A variety of running events are offered each Monday in June at Randolph College’s outdoor track (2500 Rivermont Avenue\, Lynchburg\, VA 24503).  All ages and all abilities are invited. DESCRIPTION:FREE & open to all abilities. Runs vary in length 3-6 miles.  Participants do not need to be a LRRC member to attend. Explore the beauty of the Rivermont neighborhoods of Lynchburg\, Virginia.  Courses are decided that evening based on attendance. \nTip 1:  You are invited to use one of our storage lockers and bathrooms for changing.  \nTip 2:  Our group typically leaves at 6:00pm\, so you have a few extra minutes if you are behind schedule leaving work.
