Runners and walkers are invited to gather at First Christian Church on Rivermont Avenue for an out & back course that follows the Virginia 10 Miler course through Riverside Park and back (approximately 3.5 miles). \nOur friends from the Lynchburg Road Runners\, Riverside Runners\, Brooks\, and Endurance will be there to cheer you on and support you. \nA limited number of commemorative shirts will be for sale for $10.00 ($5.00 for current LRRC members). Reserve yours by registering prior to the fun run. \nThanks to Brooks Running and Riverside Runners for…\n  ** Demo footwear from Brooks (the official footwear sponsor of the race).\n  ** FREE Rookies ice cream to the first 100 to check-in.\n  ** 1 lucky participant will win a pair of Brooks running shoes! \nThanks to ENDURANCE – Training for the Long Haul. SUMMARY:7th Annual Beast Lake 5k & Obstacle Course Race
DESCRIPTION:Eastlake Community Church invites you to participate in the 7th Annual Beastlake 5K and Obstacle Course races on Saturday July 5th. This is a community event open to all people\, of all fitness levels\, from the novice to the hardcore athlete. Choose from one of three events that best suits your fitness and skill level. This event raises fund for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy. \nThe BeastLake is back for the 7th year\, and we have some new twists along with favorite obstacles from past years. Back for 2025 is a “ stay cool” option to the course that includes a ‘slip n slide” type water slide down part of the course\, an option to do the balance beam over an inflatable pool. and an option to run through a section of sprinklers midway through the race.  All the water features are OPTIONAL and designed to bring an additional fun experience to the race.  We will also be having food trucks at this years race with registered 5KOC and 5K participants receiving food vouchers.
