DESCRIPTION:The Neighbors Helping Neighbors Fall 5k\, presented by Neighbors Helping Neighbors of Amherst County\, will take place on the beautiful campus of Sweet Briar College. Enjoy the picturesque scenery of the infamous “Dairy Loop” as well as the surrounding of Sweet Briar College. Proceeds from this event support Neighbors Helping Neighbors of Amherst County\, Inc (NHN) where our primary focus is to assist individuals in overcoming food insecurity by providing nutritious meals through food kitchens and selective shopping Food Warehouse. On May 5th\, 2016\, we started serving nutritious lunch meals to anyone who has a need for a meal that day during lunchtime. NHN Volunteers prep and serve lunches twice a week.

This ensures we can partner with our families and help them to live their best lives.\nFunds raised have helped secure specialized newborn and pediatric equipment such as fetal monitors\, radiant Panda warmers and Omni beds for the Intensive Care Nursery. This equipment allows us to treat children close to home. \n100% of event proceeds raised through your participation and donations stay right here in Centra’s service area and make it possible for us to save the lives of our tiniest population!!
