DESCRIPTION:The historic Moore & Giles Virginia 10 Miler will celebrate its 48th year running on September 24\, 2022. Join more than 4\,000 runners on a historic course that has hosted participants from around the globe. The 10 mile run\, 4 and more mile run/walk\, and Amazing Mile Children’s Run invite men\, women\, and children of all ages and abilities to participate. \nThe festivities begin Thursday night with packet pick-up\, and continue Friday with the Amazing Mile Children’s Run\, and a fun\, family-friendly festival in downtown Lynchburg. On Saturday\, thousands will take part in the 10 mile run and our 4+ mile run/walk. \nThe Lynchburg Road Runners Club\, founded in 1973 to organize the Virginia 10 Miler\, continues to own and organize the Moore & Giles 10 Miler and its associated events
