Join area youth runners of all ages (0-13) for the 34th Annual Lynchburg Pediatrics Children’s Run in memory of Dr John Stephenson, presented by the Lynchburg Road Runners Club. Dr. Stephenson was one of the founding pediatricians of Richeson Drive Pediatrics; now Lynchburg Pediatrics. He promoted healthy children and being active outside. When he died at a young age a memorial race was started to honor his passion for promoting healthy lifestyles.

This is a unique youth running/walking race as the events are divided by age, sex, and distance. The older you are the further you go in your own gender group. Only the final 1 mile event for 12-13 year olds is gender combined. Parents may assist in the 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile. Each event does not end until the last person finishes. The intent is to provide a positive running/walking experience focused on each persons ability, every finisher receives a personalized finishers card with their name if registered by Oct. 9th and yes, the top 3 in each event get a special trophy.
